ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct complicated research projects in the prosecution of Knight Law’s cases
  • Assume responsibility for trial efforts, typically as second chair or third chair
  • Draft moving papers, oppositions involving novel and complex issues
  • Appear at hearing for motions and oppositions
  • Conduct depositions of PMK witnesses, apex employees, mechanical and fraud experts, etc.
  • Provide assistance with trial strategy
  • Provide senior level oversight of Entry Level and Mid-Level Associate Attorneys, as designated by Supervising Partner
  • Seek out and recommend improvements in the client communication efforts
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement policies and proactively develop improvements to existing firm policies and procedures, including with regard to client communication
  • Provide legal support for the coordination of inter- and intradepartmental operations
  • Timely resolution of issues that may arise

Ideal Skills and Experience

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
  • Member in good standing of the California Bar
  • At least seven (7) years of litigation experience as a licensed attorney
  • Genuine interest in consumer protection and representation
  • Hunger for professional growth, with a “no job is too big or too small” mentality
  • Collaborative and willing to operate in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience supervising and training junior attorneys preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required

Minimum Qualifications:
