Mr. Brian Plummer joined Knight Law Group in August 2022 and acts as lead trial counsel in jury trials all across California.
Prior to joining Knight Law Group, Mr. Plummer managed legal offices for Fortune 150 companies including Union Pacific Railroad Company and Mercury Insurance Company. While managing the legal offices of Union Pacific Railroad Company, Mr. Plummer served as a trial lawyer in civil litigation and personal injury defense, supervising attorney of in-house and outside counsel, and as consulting counsel in corporate, governmental and public affairs.
Mr. Plummer has developed substantial trial experience in his years of private practice, representing both individuals and businesses in the practice areas of personal injury, FELA, employment, professional malpractice and consumer protection. He has attended the prestigious ABOTA/TIPS National Trial Academy. Thus far, he has tried approximately 20 jury trials to verdict for both defendants and plaintiffs. He has also handled several appellate matters including cases in front of the California Courts of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has published several articles on litigation practice and presented at several Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) events on the subject of litigation and trial practices.
In 2005, Mr. Plummer graduated magna cum laude from University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and was inducted into Order of the Coif. While in law school, he won several mock trail competitions, including competing in the NITA Tournament of Champions, and served as a judicial extern for Judge Frank C. Damrell, in U.S. District Court for Eastern District of California. That same year, he was admitted to the California State Bar. Three years prior, he graduated with honors from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication. During that time, he participated in Cross Examination Debate Association (C.E.D.A.) debate and earned top honors at multiple national tournaments. Mr. Plummer is also admitted to practice in all federal courts in California.
Outside of his legal career, he has served as a planning commissioner for the city of Lincoln and as an executive board member of the Lincoln Youth Soccer Club.
